Siegermedaille 2000 - Goldmedaille für den 1.Platz im Volleyball der Frauen für Kuba bei den Olympischen Spielen Sydney 2000. Silber, vergoldet mit Gravur "Volleyball Women" und den gravierten Namen der Gewinnerin. Original besticktem Seidenband, 6,8 cm. Mit original Box aus Kunststoff mit Olympischen Ringen und Aufschrift "Sydney 2000" auf den blauen transparenten Deckel. (13x5,5 cm). Dabei: "Certificate of Authenticity" des Herstellers. - Mit geringen Tragespuren, speziell an den Rändern der Medaille, die bei der Siegesfeier der kubanischen Volleyballerinnen nach der Siegerehrung in Sydney enstanden ist. Es gibt Siegermedaillen mit Namensgravur und ohne Namensgravur. Das Organisationskomittee von Sydney stellte einen Graveur für Athleten zu Verfügung der auf Wunsch den Namen der Athleten auf die Medaille garvierte "an engraver was housed in the Olympic village and athlets could chose to have their name engraved on the medal" (Greensfelder "Olympic medals" 2007. Page 176.. -- Der Käufer erfährt den Namen der Athletin.

Minor traces of usage, especially on rim of the medal which must have happened during the award cerermony when the Cubanian volleyballers wore the medal. There are medals with and without engraved names. The Sydney NOC asked athletes whether or not they wanted their medals to be engraved. Auctionterms
The lots have been described conscientiously. The authenticity of the lots is guaranteed if nothing to the contrary is mentioned in the text.
Prices listed in the catalogue are estimates only. The lots may be sold at higher or lower prices. Auctioning will start at 80% of estimate unless at least two higher bids have been received. Bids under 80% of estimate are not accepted by the auctioneer.
Bids are to be submitted in € only. They are executed conscientiously and without any commission.
A buyer´s fee of 19,5% is added to the successful bid. Foreign purchasers from EEC countries will be charged the German VAT. Postage, insurance and bank charges will also be added. Payment is due within 10 days of the auction invoice. The buyer is responsible for compliance with import regulations.
Bids by customers unknown to us are executed only when a sufficient deposit is mailed with the bids of verifiable bank or trade references are furnished.
The auctioneer reserves the right to sent lots only after payment has been made by a bank transfer to one of our accounts, or by a check in € drawn on a German bank. A personal check has to clear first.
