Paar Türklingeln, Figural und Löwenkopf, Messing, 20. Jh.
Messing, Kunststoff. Deutschland / Österreich, spätes 20. Jahrhundert. Fein geschwungene Türklingel mit figürlichen und floralen Formen, verso bezeichnet „1670 GGU“. Türklingel in Gestalt eines Löwenkopfes, bei Betätigung der Klingel leuchten die Augen. Zylindrische Druckknöpfe. Je montiert auf Acrylglasständer. Gesamtmaße: 13 x 11,6 x 7,9 cm und 14,4 x 10,5 x 5,7 cm. Guter Zustand. Provenienz: Privatsammlung, Norddeutschland. Damals wurden figürliche Hausklingeln in Form von Menschen- oder Tierköpfen als „Geprägte Metalltaster“ angeboten; dabei kostete beispielsweise eine als Löwenkopf geprägte Metalltaste im Jahre 1910 um die 10,-- Mark.

Brass, synthetic material. Germany / Austria, late 20th century. Delicately curved doorbell with figural and floral motifs, verso inscribed ‘1670 GGU’. Doorbell in the form of a lion’s head, upon activating the bell, the eyes light up. Cylindrical push buttons. Each mounted on acrylic glass stands. Total dimensions: 13 x 11.6 x 7.9 cm and 14.4 x 10.5 x 5.7 cm. Good condition. Provenance: North German private collection. Back in the days, figurative doorbells with human or animal heads were offered as ‘Geprägte Metalltaster‘ (= embossed metal switches) in Germany; for example in 1910 an embossed lion’s head doorbell had a price of 10 Marks.
