The photo is mounted on a mat. In the lower part of the mat, there is a gift inscription by Alexander Glazunov: “To the endearing son of my unforgettable / teacher, to a gifted musician-composer, / to a dear colleague in the Schubert competition / Georgy Mikhailovich Rimsky-Korsakov / 2 June 1928. Sincerely yours A. Glazunov.” Below is music notation in Alexander Glazunov’s hand. On the reverse, an inscription by G.M. Rimsky-Korsakov’s widow. Provenance: from the archive of G.M.
