Woodward & Sons' 'The Automatic' patent no. 600 of 1876 (patent use 121), push-forward snap-action underlever, the action-body with best foliate-scroll engraving, maker's name and address in scrolling-banner, hammers of hares-ear form, the well-figured stock (repaired crack and crack through head and rear of both lockplates) with ebonite butt-plate, the damascus barrels (loose on the action, dents and pitting near muzzle) with game-rib engraved 'Thomas Jackson & Son, 89 Wigmore Street, London' Weight 6lb. 15½oz., 14¼in. stock, 30in. barrels, approx.
