Bandeau de transpiration en cuir, fabrication BMB 1942, taille 7 1/4. Jugulaires en cuir complètes. Filet de camouflage monté d'origine. Pièce jamais nettoyé, dans son jus d'origine. A noter une certaine usure et patine de la pièce. Pièce récupérée dans l'ancienne concession d'un ferrailleur de Molay Littry dans le Calvados. Illustrée pages 70 et 71 du livre 75 objets du Débarquement de Normandie. Attestation originale de provenance signée de Bertrand Paris jointe avec un exemplaire de l'ouvrage. Shell of the first type. Original paintwork, 80%. Inner lining is complete, worn and cracked foam. Leather sweatband, manufactured BMB 1942, size 7 ¼. Full leather chinstrap. Camouflage mesh mounted, all original. The item never been cleaned. Note some wear and tear and discoloration. It was recovered in the old scrapyard of a dealer in Molay-Littry in Calvados. An illustration can be found on pages 70 and 71 in the book 75 objects of the Landings in Normandy.
