Casque de parachutiste allemand camouflé deux tons. German parachutist helmet camouflaged in two tonesCoque de casque M-38, fabrication ET 68, numéro de lot 1370. Camouflage léger deux tons vert/ocre. Aigle du second type à 80%. Rivets complets jamais démontés. Coiffe intérieur complète, cuir sec jamais nettoyé ni graissé. Marquages visibles. Couture centrale partiellement décousue. Jugulaires complètes. Casque jamais démonté, ni nettoyé, laissé dans son jus d'origine. A noter une certaine patine et usure de la pièce. Trouvé par un société de démolition dans les débris de la charpente d'un bâtiment de Coudehard, commune traversée par le sinistre couloir de la mort. Illustrée pages 18 et 19 du livre 75 objets du Débarquement de Normandie. Attestation originale de provenance signée de Bertrand Paris jointe avec un exemplaire de l'ouvrage. Helmet shell M-38, Manufactured ET 68, lot number 1370. Light camouflage in two tones green / ocher. Eagle of the second type at 80%. Complete set of rivets never disassembled. Full inner shell, dry leather, never cleaned or greased. Markings visible. Central sewing partially unstitched. Chinstraps intact. Helmet never disassembled or cleaned, left in its original state. Note some patina and wear on the item. Found by a demolition company in the timber debris of a building in Coudehard, a Commune in the path of the sinister Corridor of Death. An illustration can be found on pages 18 and 19 in the book 75 objects of the Landings in Normandy.
