Umur (age): From the Regency of Sultan Agung I, from the Sultanate of Mataram.

The Keris with a hand forged ‘11 Luk’ waved Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Beras Wutah Tretep’). Dapur in ‘Cherita Prasojo’ (= Elephant trunk shape). Ganja with ‘Wulung’. Small copper Mendak (cuff) of ‘Meniran’ type with Tombak, between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Nunggak semi’ shape, and carved from Teak wood. Warangka (sheath) of ‘Gayaman Gabel’ type (‘kidney’ shaped), also made from Teak wood patiently carved by hand. Gandar (body) (body) with brass Pendok (cover), Bunton of East Javanese style in Tombak and with floral pattern.
Length of the blade, including ‘Pesi’ (tang of the blade): 37.3 cm. (1x)
Note 1: Sultan Agung Adi Prabu Hanyakrakusuma was the third Sultan of Mataram in Central Java ruling from 1613 to 1645. He conquered neighbouring states and expanded and consolidated his kingdom to the greatest territorial and military power. He was also a fighter against the incursions of the Dutch East India Company. The Dutch literature wrote his name by Agoeng de Grote (= "Agung the Great").
