Umur (age): From the Kingdom of Pajang.

The Keris with a hand forged ‘11 Luk’ waved Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Beras Wutah Tretep’), in typical ‘Pajang’ style and very fine ‘Kinatah Emas Wedono Siji-Lung Melati’ pattern. Dapur in ‘Cherita’ (= Elephant trunk shape). Small copper gilded Mendak (cuff) of ‘Meniran’ type, between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Yudo Winatan’ shape, and carved from Tayuman wood. Fine Warangka (sheath) of ‘Gayaman Baku’ type (‘kidney’ shaped) and made from Pelet Nyamel wood patiently carved by hand. Gandar (body) (body) with brass Pendok (cover), Blewah in Tombak with ‘Lung Kanthet’ pattern.
Length of the blade, including ‘Pesi’ (tang of the blade): 40 cm. (1x)
Note 1: The Kingdom of Pajang (1568–1586) was a short-lived Muslim state in Java. It was established by Hadiwijaya or Jaka Tingkir, Lord of Boyolali, after a civil war and was a successor to Sultanate of Demak. Hadiwijaya claimed to be a descendant of Brawijaya V, the last king of the Majapahit empire, and Trenggana, the sultan of Demak.
