A PRUSSIAN GERMAN M1811 CAVALRY SWORD, SO CALLED “BLUCHER SABER”.Origin: Germany, Prussia, 1852.Blade: wide, massive, curved single edged blade, with one wide fuller both sides. Stamped on the edge next to the hilt – 52 for year 1852.Closed brass hilt with a single knucklebow from yelman to the pommel, back arm of the yelman bent towards the blade, finished with a flat ball. Short, shield-shaped langets. Backstrap fixed to the grip with a single steel rivet. Wooden grip covered with the black leather. Stamped on the cross-guard: “1.T.M.F.2.2.” / “3 2 S” on side, “W” on top, “68” on side and “2E2BTW 25” on the bottom. Steel scabbard with double carrying ring.
