A TIBETAN DAGGER, 19TH CENTURY
Origin: Tibet, 19th century.
Blade: short single edged blade with two shallow and narrow fullers, with narrow transfer to the grip.
Hilt: Metal grip, with wider ends and narrowing in the middle, covered with silver and brass wire, twisted to form geometric ornaments. Silver pommel with embossed floral motifs.
Scabbard: Silver openwork scabbard, richly decorated with floral motifs and dragon in the middle.
Condition report: blade in medium condition, with some pitting from corrosion, scratches and dents. Grip in good condition, patination, remains of old dirt in indentations, scratches, dents. Scabbard with light patina, with scratches and dents.
