AN ITALIAN M1819 “CACIATORRI” SABRE WITH ENGRAVED SAVOY EAGLE.Origin: probably France, early 19th century.Blade: steel slightly bent single edged blade with wide fuller both sides. Partially visible engraved Savoy eagle under the crown with panoply above, on other side ciphers: J L / R E(?).Closed brass hilt. Short arm of the yelman bent towards the blade, with flat ball finial. Single knuckle bow reaching the pommel. Long back strap fixed to the yelman. Wooden grip covered with a black leather. Pommel’s cover missing, damage to the grip.
