A GERMAN FUSILIER OFFICER’S SABER M1826, WKC.
Preußen Füsilier-Offiziersäbel.
Origin: Germany, Prussia, late 19th century.
Slightly curved delicate single edged blade with one wide fuller both sides. Marked with WKC stamp on ricasso. Symmetric tip.
Closed, brass hilt, single knuckle-bow fixed to the pommel. Backstrap fixed to the tang with one rivet through the grip. Black grip with twisted brass wire. Leather thumb-ring between the grip and crossguard with missing loop.
Scabbard missing.
Dimensions: total length – 99 cm, blade’s length – 87 cm, blade’s width – 2 cm.
