"Saint Sebastian". Carved wooden sculpture with polychrome remains. Germany. Gothic. 15th century. The saint is depicted, as is the custom, tied to the column where he was shot with arrows. Young, muscly and with beautiful features, he is wearing a loin cloth and a cape which covers his legs and hangs from his shoulder. The mastery in the treatment of the body and the folds in the clothing is outstanding. 90 x 25 x 14 cm.
