Lacquer sheath-style inrô with a single container, presumably a kôgô, the front of the exterior with a depiction of two crows flying under a full moon, on a red background, the back with a single flying crow, on a red background, the sides with nashiji, the bottom ridge with polychrome motif of flowers, the lid of the box decorated, in hiramaki-e, with five herons standing in reed on the riverside -small cracks on the corners-, the interior of the box with nashiji, Japan, not signed, around 1850, on the cord a cloisonné ojime, provenance: Kunsthandel Aalderink, 2011, current: The Stolk Collection
