AN IRON-RED, YELLOW AND BROWN SANDWICHED AQUAMARINE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE Bubble suffused glass body of even bluish-green aquamarine color with a sandwiched layer of iron-red, ochre and iridescent maroon splashes, altogether reminiscent of the group of realgar glass snuff bottles. China, 1720-1800Likely an earlier example of this group, this bottle still bears some distant design elements inherited from late 17th century Bavarian bottles.
