AN APPLE-GREEN JADEITE SNUFF BOTTLE WITH IRIDESCENT SILVERY STREAKS Mottled jadeite with a well-polished surface. The semi-translucent lustrous stone of natural apple-green tone with iridescent silvery grey streaks and some shades of olive green. China, 19th centuryThe iridescent streaks show a behavior similar to mother of pearl when day- or sunlight hits the surface from varying angles.
