Violin Johann Gottfried Hamm
Markneukirchen, 18th century, with IGH brand stamp and label Johann Gottfried Hamm (1744-1817, master craftsman in Markneukirchen from 1764), divided, delicately flamed base in chestnut brown colored lacquer with inlaid tree motif, three-part surrounding border inlay, strong bulged top with solidified cracks, otherwise the piece is in neat, ready-to-play condition, including two bows and a case, L body 35.6 cm. Provenance: This violin has been privately owned for over 50 years and was played as the first violin in the Gewandhaus Leipzig for 40 years.

Provenienz: Diese Geige ist seit über 50 Jahren in Privatbesitz und wurde 40 Jahre davon als erste Geige im Gewandhaus Leipzig gespielt.
