MALCOLM X. 1925-1965. [LITTLE, MALCOLM X.] Official photostat birth certificate of Malcolm X, 140 x 129 mm, issued December 19, 1952, embossed with seal of the State of Nebraska Department of Health, and 'THIS CERTIFIES THE ABOVE TO BE A TRUE COPY OF AN ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE ON FILE WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH....' Malcolm X was paroled from prison in September 1952, having served 5 years of an 8-10 year sentence for larceny and breaking and entering. He had gone to prison as a Malcolm Little, but emerged as Malcolm X, a disciplined convert to the Nation of Islam. He met with Elijah Muhammad the same year, and this birth certificate was issued to him December 19, 1952. Lot to be sold without reserve.
