Child Jesus Saviour of the World, partially painted ivory sculpture, polychrome and gilt wooden orb and stand, silver cross and attribute, Indo-Portuguese, 17th/18th C., fault on two fingers, missing a ring on the crown, later robe, wear on the paint and gilt of the stand, silver without marks, pursuant to Decreto-Lei nº 120/2017, of 15 September - art. 2nd, no. 2, paragraph c). Notes: vd. exhibition catalogue "A Expansão Portuguesa e a Arte do Marfim. Lisbon: Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, 1991, p. 125, nºs 325 and 327. a) This lot is subject to CITES export/import restrictions and is duly certified: nr 24PTLX00344C; b) Several countries prohibit the import of goods that incorporate materials from protected wild fauna and flora species, including, among others, ivory, coral and turtle; c) In Portugal, according to the forecast transposition into the Portuguese legislation of the more recent EU guidance document concerning ivory commerce, the issuing of reexport certifications for non EU countries is suspended; d) We therefore advise potential buyers to inform themselves in advance on the applicable legislation, in particular the customs regulations in force in the countries concerned., Dim. - (escultura) 13,8 cm; (com base) 20,7 cm; Peso - (marfim) 140 g.
